@sarahelizabethhill: What is a successfu

@sarahelizabethhill: What is a successful moment in your career so far? Being asked to lead as Bookstr’s CEO was a successful moment for me. I think though we’ve had some really stressful moments over this first year of business. Being able to put my nose to the grindstone, not completely caving in discouragement on tough days has really been what has mattered the most. So really, it hasn’t been a moment for me. It’s a lot of little moments on a lot of days that add up over time resulting in my career “success” today. Getting back on the horse so to speak. My career is also the culmination of all of the people who have supported me. We did have a moment where I had to let go of the majority of my staff at Bookstr. It was terrible. After that I learned a lot about my leadership style and of ways I could improve. I learned about things I had been doing wrong once the dust cleared. I learned about people who I let down or missed an opportunity with — I consider that now a pretty successful moment only because I learned so much from it and it was so difficult to recover from personally and as a business.
