@m.olchawska: Why did you decide to get into this industry? Ever since I can remember I have loved films. I was brought up in a communist Poland in the 1980’s where we didn’t have access to modern entertainment because of the strict censorship on all the Western products. Most of the films I watched as a kid were old black and white classics or musicals (this type of films weren’t considered a threat to the communist “lifestyle”). I loved the classic stories, the costumes, set design and of course the glamorous actresses and handsome actors. The stories helped me survive the endless unrest, the grayness that seemed to be only color of the 80’s and the constant fear that was part of my childhood. Those classic movies transported me to magical land of fun, joy and beauty. Of course, I didn’t know much about filmmaking or films back then, until, at the age of 7 I found an old film magazine showing movie stars in Cannes.
