I’m currently working on a historical fiction novel loosely based on the life of Rosetta Tharpe, the forerunning African American bisexual guitar player whose career spanned from the late 30s into the 1970s. The novel focuses on race/gender and sexuality vis-à-vis the rock music industry and political turbulence in Carter/Reagan era America.
