You know, the older I get, I think my biggest concern for the future has less and less to do with my career and family and my place in the world and more to do with the devastating environmental impact we’ve had on our planet. We’ve begun to exact irretrievable damage to our home in the form of global warming, and to ourselves in the form of pesticides and chemicals – I don’t mean to lecture you like you don’t know, I’m saying it because I think about this almost every moment of every day.
One of the fundamental principles of the Alexander Technique is Awareness, and with that, a taking responsibility for what we might be doing to ourselves that may not serve us. It’s so easy to get overwhelmed or get turned off by the gravity of the issue or blame others or our political system.
