I fell in love with her at an industry dinner when she told the man speaking not to talk with his mouth full. In 1974, Marcia became the first female VP in all of Hollywood. She produced The Big Chill, Ironweed, Hamburger Hill, and many others. At 90, Marcia is still producing projects, traveling to film festivals, and giving me notes on my scripts. She has the best stories, the very best style, and her very own motto “Done, Next.” My friendship with Marcia has made me a happier human and a stronger filmmaker.
