With stellar television programming and a family trip to the movies racking up to over $100, the movie theater experience is becoming an excessive splurge and a hassle. The movie theater model must evolve and react to the amazing breadth of content being produced outside of the traditional theater experience. Studios need to take bold risks– finance mid-range feature films instead of relying on sequels and rehabbing tired franchises.
