@rainykerwin: What advice do you have for other women in the industry?
Kick down doors. Don’t be intimidated. Don’t apologize. I’m a prairie girl from Canada. Those are not my social instincts, but they are my natural instincts. And, I’ve been taking my own advice during this project. I used an all-female crew to shoot the film. I’ve been called a sexist. No apologies. I would also say, empower yourself. If you’re a filmmaker, learn Final Cut Pro, learn Photoshop, and learn Excel. Not because you’re going to edit the film, or create your own artwork, but so that you can create titles, or edit promos, or check a file, or burn Blu-rays. .
