There are several defining moments in my life – but one that will always be one of the biggest is when I found an investor/Executive Producer who said “Heidi, I believe in you and your ability to make this movie” – and she wrote me a check, which is the most I had ever had written to me for anything I ever aspired to do, and I took it home to my father who saw it and then said, “Well, my job is done. My little girl is on her way.”
He died in my arms two months later of complications from prostate cancer.
