@AshleyMichelH: What’s a defining moment in your life? Getting accepted into NYU’s Graduate Film department was one of the greatest moments of my life. I was a girl from small-town Ohio, with no connections and no way “in.” This was a dream come true. I continued to work hard, earned my Master’s degree, and found an amazing group of artists and filmmakers that have become integral to my work and my life. The program also led to my first big job.
