The most defining moment of my life was when I interned as a music therapist at a State Hospital with Criminally Ill adults and troubled teens in foster care. I went in to try and learn about and heal a group of people I feared and didn’t understand. It turned out that connecting and learning about them through music ended up taking me on a journey through my past and how it affected me. Together, we all started on the pathway to healing.
