@tawnytwass @overthehighmoonproductions: What is a successful moment in your career so far? As an actor you wait for calls. Then you wait for auditions. Then you wait for callbacks. Then you wait for bookings. Then you repeat this over and over again to the point where you continually feel as if you’re running into a wall. But when I started to write, I left behind that feeling of dependence in this business. I was now able to open doors for myself and create my own opportunities. As a female actress, I realized that the majority of roles that I was auditioning for were one-dimensional facades of what men think women are. Writing allowed me to not only take control of my career but to find my own voice and discover the stories that I want to tell as a female artist.
