Usually ones I’ve never used and may never use- paper, cardboard, felt, cotton, parts to construct a puppet, paint, chalk, pencils, rope, string, flowers. I like to have these on hand, because they remind me that I want to create something. And even that subtle reminder of artistic possibilities is important to me.
