@happyelephantproductions: What’s a defining moment in your life? I had a professor in college that used to tear apart almost everything I wrote. We had a tendency to disagree on everything because I felt like the changes he wanted me to make didn’t fit my story and didn’t make sense for my characters. I also felt that the format he wanted to teach wasn’t something I always wanted to write in. I’ve had scripts he hated win rounds in screenwriting competitions. It taught me that just because someone is supposed to be an “expert,” or some sort of authority figure, it doesn’t necessarily make them right. It felt good to trust my instincts and have them pay off.
