Since I can remember, I’ve practiced some art – dance, theatre, music, poetry, martial arts, etc. In grade school I had my 1st paid job – dancing with the Joffrey Ballet. Dream job! I directed my 1st play before I was an adult. I’ve always listened to a little voice inside saying, “Jeni, you must dance! You must direct!” It doesn’t feel like much of a decision when it’s a calling. Ignoring that voice is painful. Trust me. I’ve tried.
