@jeniannejones: What’s a defining moment in your life? The 1st play I directed was Samuel Beckett’s “Krapp’s Last Tape” followed by “Waiting for Godot” circa age 19. Lawrence Sacharow (R.I.P.), then head of Fordham Theatre, begged me not to direct Godot, so, duh, I HAD TO DO IT! Early experiences with Beckett’s monstrous texts made me fearless. I fear no text. Bring it! Bring it all! Film’s easy after that shit!
