I would probably define a successful moment as the moment where I realized I should be proud of my work, and proud of my writing and what I can do. Instead of hiding behind not being sure, comparing my work to the work of others, and all those super fun things that tie our stomachs into knots and stop us from sharing what we create with others, I felt successful when I finally learned to hold my head up high and say Yeah, I wrote this thing, and I think it’s really good. It takes a lot to get there, but it’s so worth it to keep pushing and striving for that – when you have confidence in what you create, and when you show it to people or share it with that same confidence, it shows.
