@gayedeebell: What’s a defining moment in your life? I got divorced from my first husband when I was 36 after being married for 10 years. I grew up believing you don’t get divorced – you work through your problems. So I NEVER saw that happening to me and it was a terribly painful experience. But I also realized – even as I was going through it – that it was a chance to start fresh. Learning to see difficult experiences as opportunities to learn and grow has been a very important life lesson for me. I truly believe that sometimes doors are closed for us so other ones can open. Now I am happily re-married to someone who is very supportive of my life and dreams, I have a little boy and a beautiful stepdaughter and I am pursuing my goals in a way I never could have when I was in my first marriage.
