What advice do you have for other women in the industry? The best advice is recycled from a woman I admire greatly: Erin O’Malley, an Executive Producer on “New Girl.” She told me that if you want something, you have to ask for it. Seemingly, it’s such simple advice. But too often, women are too scared or polite to be direct about what we want. I am not a confrontational person, and find myself being silent when I should speak up. It takes time and practice to be fearless and direct, but asking for what I want has – more than anything – helped me find my voice.
