A successful moment in my career was a few years ago after I had learned to bring my comedy writing and true self through improv to auditioning for on-camera work. An adlibbed, hilarious, off the script moment led me to being cast for my first national SAG commercial, which was for Planters Peanuts.

Also, for many years being accepted on many statewide arts commissions’ performing arts touring rosters and the regional Mid-America Arts Alliance, especially since it’s highly competitive, has been a big win for me. It gave me national visibility, a platform for my writing and comedy, professional rates and a wealth of knowledge in marketing, contracts and negotiations.
