@TheReelNthabiseng: What is your biggest concern with the future? When I watch TV I worry about the health and state of our children and youth. I worry that the moral fibre of society is breaking down. There are a lot of reasons but in my case, being in this Industry I see the dangers of messages being presented on TV screens. Many people say that TV is a reflection of society but I believe it is the other way around. If you continue to feed negativity, negativity will be produced and so the cycle continues. I believe there is power in the Writers Room and what comes out of your mind will influence. So what stories are writers trying to tell, do writers think when they develop a story line on how it will impact society and if so what kind of impact and influence do they want to leave behind? @TheReelNthabiseng: Why did you decide to work in this industry? I do not think it was ever a decision. I have always had a crazy Imagination. All I have ever known was being in this Industry in some way. When I was a child I would go to castings. I was involved with TV growing up. I was in church and school plays throughout Primary and High School. I was an official Teen Film Critic for two years from the ages of 14 to 15 years. My first real experience of being on a professional TV set was when I was a guest on a youth show called Keeping It Real. The feeling of being there and seeing myself on TV and the positive reaction of people afterwards cemented my passion and curiosity of being in TV and Film. I am a Film graduate Writing and Directing being my Primary choices. I would like to extend that and do a 1 year course at NYU Tisch School of the Arts in Screen Writing and a Documentary filmmaking course in New York Film Academy. I could entertain doing acting work because I always get asked if I ever was on TV. @artemisfilmfest: What’s a defining moment in your life? I told my then husband, now ex, “Man, I’ll help you pack.”
The other: I was auditioning for a part to play a victim begging for her life. I practiced so hard for that audition!!! And I finally realized, no matter how good an actor I was, I would never believably sell a victim.
