I am so humbled and excited to share a 5-part series with Cynthia Bemis Abrams and “Advanced TV Herstory”. Because Cynthia says it so much better than I can: “Sometimes we lose sight of the adage “the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Since lockdown I’ve connected with people and organizations that… Read More 5-Part Podcast Series with “Advanced TV Herstory”
I’ve always been a lover of movies since I was a kid. I knew when I was 13 years old, I wanted to work in the film / television industry. I thought acting was the only way to do that as there was very little representation behind the camera for minorities. But then I started… Read More @starvictoriadirector: Why did you decide to get into this industry?
Right now, I am working on setting a premiere for Crystal & Chelsea, an independent pilot I wrote with my best friend Khiyon Hursey, starred in, and produced alongside my good friend Miranda Pancheco. It is very timely and about a psychic that scams white women into being less racist. It’s basically Don’t Trust the… Read More @thewittygirl: What are you working on next? I consider myself to be a black artist and it would be a shame if I couldn’t really delve deeper into characters like myself, simply… Read More @thewittygirl: What is your biggest concern with the future?
My mom died when I was 11 and then my dad died when I was 15 and it was after both of their deaths I became the person I should have always been. My mother was a Jamacian immigrant and my dad was a former NFL player turned motivational speaker who grew up very poor.… Read More @thewittygirl: What’s a defining moment in your life?
All my life I have wanted to be a writer. I wrote my first short story at the age of 10 and I was published for the first time at 15. But it wasn’t until I went to college that I learned that TV writers make the most money and have the most power out… Read More @thewittygirl: Why did you decide to get into this industry?
