@moviemakingmila: Why did you decide to

@moviemakingmila: Why did you decide to get into this industry? Movie weekends were a big part of my childhood. I’d watch Do the Right Thing, Crooklyn, The Birds, Shanghai Express, and the list goes on. On these weekends, my family really bonded. I enjoyed it so much that I grew attached to the world of film and developed a desire to be an actress. I wasn’t privy to the process of film-making and even when I became familiar with the roles behind the scenes I was still sure that acting was the only gateway to film. So I became an actor–loved it. But something was missing . I still had a creative urge that I began to feed with photography and writing. However when I got to college I took courses like History of Cinema, Screenwriting, and, Media Audiences. Suddenly what was missing was no longer this nebulous thing. It was clear to me that I was a storyteller and that would be my mark in the world. I also loved the idea that in this industry I could incite thought and inspire change through a narrative.
