Realizing my purpose as a writer and actress. I started traveling a lot more in 2016 which affected my creativity and the work I wanted to make. I visited and shot something in Ghana and really enjoyed that process. Shortly after I lived in South Africa for three months. I had the pleasure of collaborating with a group of women filmmakers from Johannesburg and we created a short film. I realized we were building a bridge. That redefined my production company’s mission as well as my own. I want to build bridges between African Americans and Africans across the continent and diasporas through storytelling. Once I realized that the vision for my life became so much more clearer.
