Working in a writer’s room. I had imagined what a writer’s room was like in my head. Very intimidating. And I’m sure it can be that way. But when I got there, it was just an office building in Hollywood with a big table and a bunch of snacks and people throwing out ideas. I was like, oh! I can do this. It gave me more confidence, especially because I was in a room with other women of color.
