@aimiende: What advice do you have for other women in the industry?

This may seem cliche, but, don’t give up. 
Get clear on what it is you’re trying to achieve, first for yourself and then for those around you so they understand what they are cheering you on for/toward.
Learn as much as you can from anyone who crosses paths with you.
Share your knowledge with those wanting to learn, but not sure where to look.
Make the films you want to make! At least for as long as you can.
These last ones, I continue to work on for myself: believe in yourself, trust your judgement and decisions, give yourself permission to make mistakes, know that you’re incredible even on the days when you’re not being or feeling incredible (build your storehouse of confidence, it’ll come in handy) and when you are able to, pay it forward.
