Oh, every time I successfully complete a short film is a successful moment in my career for me, truly. 
If I had to pick one or two that landed me on cloud nine, the first would be winning the Best LGBT short film award for my short, Utopia, at the Montreal International Black Film Festival a couple of years ago. I did not expect it at all. I was truly blown away and filled with such gratitude…, I struggled to get my words out during the ceremony. The second would be coming in second place at the Austin Film Festival Pitch Contest a couple years ago. That was another mind blowing experience. I hadn’t planned on pitching and was encouraged to give it a go by a fellow female screenwriter. I’m glad I did.
