When my mother died in 2016, I felt as if life became so dim. Nothing I was working on mattered anymore and I remember praying that God bless me with new life, purpose and for that spark. After a year of praying, this story was downloaded into my spirit while driving to work one day. It was the story that would become my first series, Bubbly Brown Sugar, and it redirected my life in a way I never could have imagined. I created an award-winning product that has opened doors I have only dreamed about accessing as a black creative.
